Guide to Collecting 2015 Bowman Baseball Autographs – Part 1: With the 2015 MLB season well underway, the arrival of the annual Bowman Baseball release, provides an excellent opportunity to collect early autographs and inserts of tomorrow’s stars, today.

We have compiled some notes and statistical information for all of the players included on the autograph checklist of the new 2015 Bowman Baseball. You can see the player’s full scouting report at MLB.com. A second part of this guide will be published in the coming days.

Austin Kubitza – Detroit Tigers, RHP Draft Year: 2013, 4th Round, Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking: 3 ESPN Team Ranking: 6 Scouting Report: Throws a mid-80’s slider with a lot of snap. He compliments that with a low 90s fastball that has been increasing in velocity. A dominating presence at 6’5″ 225lbs, he projects as a set-up man or closer.	Amed Rosario – New York Mets, SS Draft Year: 2012, FA, Age: 19 MLB Team Ranking: 7 ESPN Team Ranking: 5 Scouting Report: He displays solid plate discipline for his age with above average power. He has exceptional defensive skills. He is considered to have the highest ceiling of all the Mets prospects.
Alex Reyes – St. Louis Cardinals, RHP Draft Year: 2012, FA, Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 4 ESPN Team Ranking: 3 Scouting Report: Has a deep pitch arsenal and throws with quality mechanics. Currently throws a consistent 93-94mph fastball that can hit 97. Has an above average curveball that can make hitters look bad.	Adrian Rondon – Tampa Bay Rays, SS Draft Year: 2014, FA, Age: 16 MLB Team Ranking/ ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: He is considered by many experts to be the top international player in his class. Another player with a high ceiling. Displays advanced bat skills for his age, including control of the strike zone.
Avery Romero – Miami Marlins, 2B Draft Year: 2012, 3rd Round, Age: 21 MLB Team Ranking: 3 ESPN Team Ranking: 5 Scouting Report: Very aggressive approach at the plate, yet difficult to strikeout. Routinely puts the ball in play. Has all the makings of a quality, offensive-minded second baseman.	Carlos Asuaje – Boston Redsox, 3B Draft Year: 2013, 11th Round, Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking/ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Can hit line drives to all fields with considerable power for his size at just 5’9″. Has exceptional plate discipline with excellent control of the strike zone. His defensive skills can be utilized at multiple positions.
Chad Pinder – Oakland A’s, 2B Draft Year: 2013 Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking: 6 ESPN Team Ranking: 7 Scouting Report: Possess a similar all-around skill set to the aforementioned Carlos Asuaje. A free swinger that puts the ball in play consistently. Has a strong arm and has the defensive skills to play multiple infield positions.	Carlos Rondon – Chicago White Sox, LHP Draft Year: 2014, 1st Round (3rd) Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 1 ESPN Team Ranking: 1 Scouting Report: Ranked as the 19th overall top prospect and the number three pitching prospect in all of baseball. He has all the makings of being a staff ace. Throws multiple pitches for strikes including a devastating slider.
Dariel Alvarez – Baltimore Orioles, OF Draft Year: FA Age: 26 MLB Team Ranking/ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Part of the wave of top-notch Cuban defectors, he hit .306/.330/.472 with 15 homers in 532 at-bats between Double- and Triple-A last season.	Domingo German – New York Yankees, RHP Draft Year: 2009, FA Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 7 ESPN Team Ranking: 7 Scouting Report: Throws a fastball that tops out at 97mph. The ball has exceptional movement that consistently confuses hitters. His secondary pitch is a breaking ball that he throws in the mid 80s.
Drew Ward – Washington Nationals, 3B Draft Year: 2009, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 8 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Originally known for his power, he has developed maturity at the plate that continues to improve. He has a strong arm but his range may result in a move to first base.	Erik Gonzalez – Cleveland Indians, SS Draft Year: 2008, FA Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking: 8 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: An old school type shortstop, who shows consistent contact at the plate to reach base. He has above-average speed once on base and is a threat to steal. Has exceptional defensive skills at the position.
Eric Haase – Cleveland Indians, C Draft Year: 2007, 11th Round Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking/ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Strong defensive skills behind the plate. Still finding himself at the plate but has showed consistent improvement year-after-year.	Edmundo Sosa – St. Louis Cardinals, SS Draft Year: 2013, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: NA ESPN TeamRanking: 9 Scouting Report: A line drive hitter with occasional gap power. He has plus speed that makes him a base stealing threat. He has good defensive instincts with quick hands and a serviceable arm.
Francellas Montas – Chicago White Sox, RHP Draft Year: 2009, FA Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 3 ESPN Team Ranking: 4 Scouting Report: Throws consistent heat that has been clocked at 102mph. He throws a mid 80s slider that is deceptive because of the speed of his fastball. Has the potential to be a number two starter or a quality closer.	Harold Ramirez – Pittsburgh Pirates, OF Draft Year: 2011, FA Age: 20 MLB Team Ranking: 8 ESPN Team Ranking: 8 Scouting Report: Has top of the order skill set with consistent contact and speed. Has gap power and all-around athleticism that allows him to utilize his speed on the base paths and to cover ground quickly in the outfield.
Jake Bauers – Tampa Bay Rays, 1B Draft Year: 2013, 7th Round Age: 19 MLB Team Ranking: 17 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Has a short, compact swing he uses to hit for power. Continuing to develop plate discipline but has a sharp eye. A solid defender at first base.	Jordan Betts – Boston Red Sox, 3B Draft Year: 2014, 18th Round Age: 23 MLB Team Ranking/ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Had an exceptional NCAA career for Duke. Has the potential to hit for a high average and exhibits doubles power. Still learning pitch recognition and ball spin at the plate.
Jose Deleon – Los Angeles Dodgers, RHP Draft Year: 2013, 24th Round Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 10 ESPN Team Ranking: 9 Scouting Report: Has significantly increased the velocity and movement on both his fastball and slider. This has been the result of an adjustment in his mechanics which are now repeatable with very little wasted movement.	Juan Herrera – St. Louis Cardinals, SS Draft Year: 2010, FA Age: 21 MLB Team Ranking: 9 ESPN Team Ranking: NA Scouting Report: Projects as a number two hitter due to his ability to make consistent contact at the plate. Is an excellent defender with quick feet, good range and arm strength.
Jorge Lopez – Milwaukee Brewers, LHP Draft Year: 2011, 2nd Round Age: 22 MLB Team Ranking: 9 ESPN Team Ranking: 7 Scouting Report: Throws a mix of three pitches, a low 90’s fastball, a biting breaking ball and an improving change-up. He generates a lot of groundball outs due to his ability to keep the ball low in the strike zone.	Jordan Luplow – Pittsburgh Pirates, OF Draft Year: 2014, 3rd Round Age: 21 MLB Team Ranking: 9 ESPN Team Ranking: 7 Scouting Report: A jack of all trades and master of none that has all-around athleticism and five-tool skills. His reliability and dependability will be an asset to his team.
Jorge Mateo – New York Yankees, SS Draft Year: 2012, FA Age: 19 MLB Team Ranking: 17 ESPN Team Ranking: 6 Scouting Report: His speed is his real skill. He has the baseball IQ and confidence to be given the green light when on base. He gets there as a consistent singles hitter with occasional power to the gaps.	Keury Mella – San Francisco Giants, RHP Draft Year: 2011, FA Age: 2 MLB Team Ranking: 5 ESPN Team Ranking: 2 Scouting Report: Throws a mid 90s fastball with good sinking movement. Compliments that with a curveball and a changeup. Has a deceptive delivery.
