Future Watch: Alvin Kamara Rookie Football Cards, Saints – Alvin Kamara was selected by the New Orleans Saints with the 67th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. So far, this young running back has beaten out Adrian Peterson for the job. The Saints were so impressed with Kamara that they traded Peterson. He isn’t #1 on the depth chart, but give him time.

A native of Norcross, Georgia, the talented rookie starred in high school. After graduation, he committed to the University of Alabama in 2013. Then they red-shirted him.

In 2014, Kamara transferred from Alabama to Hutchinson Community College in Kansas. That’s an odd move. He did get a ton of playing time and in nine games he averaged 134.6 yards and finished his season with 1,211 yards and 18 touchdowns. After that he caught the eye of the University of Tennessee.

In 2015, he managed 698 rushing yards, seven rushing touchdowns, three receiving and one as a top punt returner. He was a jack of all trades for the Volunteers, but not the feature back by any stretch of the imagination.

In 2016, he improved his numbers. Kamara scored nine rushing touchdowns and four receiving. After four years with three college football programs, he was ready to enter the NFL Draft.

This season he’s averaging 6.3 yards per carry and 31.6 rushing yards per game in limited use. As a receiver, he’s averaging 31.8 yards per game with a 38-yard touchdown. As a bonus, he is averaging 24 yards per kick return. Alvin Kamara is getting it done in a lot of ways each game and his workload should be increasing.

You can find his rookie cards in 2017 Panini Score Football, Panini Pantheon, and Absolute to name a few. If you’re looking for a card of his college days Leaf Valiant has you covered.
