Future Watch: Holly Holm Topps UFC Rookie Cards – If you are an MMA or UFC collector, you are loving the outcome of last night’s UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship. If you are a Las Vegas sports book, you’re just happy there are NFL games today to help recoup your money. The crushing upset of the face of the UFC’s women’s division and its title holder, Ronda Rousey, shocked the sports world.

Holm, a native of New Mexico, not only defeated the champion, she knocked Rousey unconscious just 59 seconds into the second round. The women’s bantamweight title bout was the main event of last night’s UFC 193 event at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.

With her title victory, Holm became the first woman in combat sports history to win championships in both MMA and boxing. Holm defended her boxing titles sixteen times in three different weight classes.

Holm made her MMA debut in 2011 and progressed through smaller promotions including Bellator MMA and Legacy Fighting Championship before making her UFC debut in February of this year at UFC 184.

Ronda Rousey was bludgeoned during the fight and will require plastic surgery to her lip. Highlights below are courtesy of UFC on Fox.

Collectors looking for Holly Holm’s rookie cards currently have two licensed choices. Her cards appear in both 2015 Topps UFC Knockout and 2015 UFC Champions. To date, the new UFC Bantamweight Champion does not have any autographed or memorabilia cards. However, after her dominating performance, collectors can rest assured that Topps will almost assuredly feature her prominently in upcoming UFC product releases.

Despite not having an autographed rookie, early adopters rushed to eBay, jacking up the value of here non-autographed, rookie base cards from both sets. Two of her Knockout cards sold for $132.50 and $149.99 respectively, shortly after the fight.
