Future Watch: Hudson Fasching Hockey Rookie Cards, SabresFuture Watch: Hudson Fasching Hockey Rookie Cards, Sabres – Hudson Fasching is a 6′-2″, 207 pound power forward who currently plays for the Buffalo Sabres. His story is one that a lot of prospects can recite. He was drafted 118th overall in 2013 by the Los Angeles Kings. He was a part of a trade that brought him to Western New York in 2014 and a few seasons later he’s an NHL regular.

He first got his start by starring for Apple Valley High School in Minnesota. After that, he joined the National Team Development Program. It was there he played with now teammate, Jack Eichel. They played together in 2012-13 his second season with that elite team.

After Fasching’s draft year, he joined the University of Minnesota for three seasons. It was there he was on the All-Rookie team in 2013-14. He was a part of the team that advanced to the Frozen Four in 2014-15 but lost in the Final game.

In international play he took home two Silver Medals. There hasn’t been much this right winger can’t do. Last year he managed to play in seven games with Buffalo. He got two points and that was something to build on.

This season he’e expected to be a mid-level scorer. At 21 years of age, he’s never spent any time in the American Hockey League so he still has to adjust playing at the highest level. He’s always been a goal scorer. He’s managed to get them with a very fast shot and surprising speed.

Hudson Fasching has NHL licensed rookie cards in 2016-17 Upper Deck MVP, 2016-17 O-Pee-Chee and Artifacts Hockey. Soon he’ll have a Young Guns rookie to add to the list. Also look for Fasching in other upcoming Upper Deck Hockey products on the Release Calendar.

Here’s a look at him muscling in a goal:

Fasching is the kind of player every team covets. Now Sabres’ fans and collectors have to wait and see how quickly he develops.
