Future Watch: Justin Bailey Hockey Rookie Cards, SabresFuture Watch: Justin Bailey Hockey Rookie Cards, Sabres – Justin Bailey is a very athletic right winger who currently plays in the Buffalo Sabres organization. At just 21, he’s already into his second professional season. He is a two-way player seeing time in both the AHL and NHL. When he plays for the Rochester Americans he’s good for at least 20 goals a season and some very gritty play. When he plays for the Buffalo Sabres, he’s still looking to find his way. This isn’t uncommon and it still may take another year or two for him to stick.

At 6′-3″, 214lbs, he has a powerful shot and some excellent speed. Sometimes it takes time to adjust to a league or to find linemates who make you better. At his position, being a power forward, is something that doesn’t happen instantly for most players. Bigger players have a lot of moving parts and finding that balance can be a challenge.

Drafted 52nd overall in 2013 he is a player who has had some expectations placed on him. His dad, Carlton, was a linebacker who played for the Buffalo Bills and a few other teams in the late 80’s throughout the 90’s. Some people may be expecting his son to be an impact player because of the bloodline. Fair or not that will be something he’ll battle until he finally makes it in Buffalo.

Justin Bailey currently has NHL licensed rookie cards in 2016-17 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey, with both a base and canvas Young Guns card. You can find Justin Bailey’s autographed rookie cards in this year’s Artifacts and Trilogy. He also has an array of base and inserts in the Canadian exclusive Parkhurst as well as MVP Hockey. Collectors should also keep an eye out for Bailey’s Black Diamond Rookie Diamond Relic Card.

Here’s a look at his first NHL goal, in Madison Square Garden against the New York Rangers:

The Buffalo native has a chance to hit it big in his hometown. There’s a very good chance he’ll be a huge fan favorite. Collectors should start stockpiling him now, while he is still flying under the radar. He could be ready to break out in the next year or two. So far he’s had a cup of coffee in the NHL but soon he’ll take on a greater role.
