Future Watch: Lawson Crouse Hockey Rookie Cards, Coyotes – Lawson Crouse was selected with the 11th overall pick by the Florida Panthers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. He’s a power forward who has an extremely bright future. He was also a player who had a high trade value. The Panthers dealt the talented prospect on August 25th to the Arizona Coyotes. The Coyotes assumed the contract of Dave Bolland, who will likely never play for the team, and the price was this prized forward.
In his three seasons with the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs, this left winger scored 140 points in 168 games. Twice, he had years of over 20 goals and played on a few of Team Canada’s elite teams. At the 2014-15 U20 World Junior Championships he struck gold. He had 8 points in 12 games. He was a leader on and off the ice and he’s done that everywhere he’s been.
Lawson Crouse has a Young Guns rookie card in 2016-17 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey. That’s his first. He first put on his Arizona sweater at the 2016 NHLPA Rookie Showcase. He was thrilled that Upper Deck managed to get him one on such short notice (the event was held on August 29th). You can be sure he’ll be in a quite a few NHL licensed hockey products from Upper Deck this season. The release calendar currently lists these upcoming products:

Now 19, he’s close to being a regular in the Coyotes lineup. His defense is really the best part of his game along with his physical side.
At 6′-4″ and well over 200 pounds he already has man strength and he can score those dirty goals down low on the hash marks or right in the goalie’s kitchen. His wrist shot is pretty promising as well.

In the end Crouse does have good enough offensive skills to become an All-Star. His all-around game will help. Fans will love him. He’s an engaging guy and he should be a mainstay on their roster for a good decade if not more.
