Future Watch: Lucius Fox Rookie Baseball Cards, GiantsFuture Watch: Lucius Fox Rookie Baseball Cards, Giants – One of baseball’s “hot prospects” last summer was Lucius Fox. He’s a shortstop from Nassau, Bahamas. Any team could have signed him since he was a free agent but it was the San Fransisco Giants who anted up and got him.

Now 19 years old, and playing in A-Ball and has managed 34 walks, 43 runs scored and 23 steals while hitting just .221 in his first 66 games. That proves that he makes things happen and when he gets a few more hits and raises his average he’ll be a very productive offensive player.

Fox is a very good fielder with a strong arm. There are a lot of teams out there looking for a quality shortstop. The Giants will be patient in hopes that Fox will be in their lineup for a decade or so when he is ready to make the jump.

Here’s a look at his first professional home run!

Lucius Fox has a Chrome Prospect Autograph card, #CPA-LF, in 2016 Bowman Baseball. He also has an autographed card in 2016 Bowman Inception. However, his first autographed card can be found in 2015 Panini Elite Extra Edition, 2015 Panini Contenders Baseball and 2015 Leaf baseball card products including Trinity, Metal Draft and Ultimate Draft.

According to his MLB.com draft profile:

“The best athlete in the 2015 international class, Fox stands out most with his plus-plus speed. A switch-hitter with solid ability from both sides of the plate, he profiles as a leadoff hitter and dynamic basestealer. He even has some gap power, so he’s more than just a slap-and-dash guy.” ETA 2019

This Fox is used to hearing jokes about his name (Bruce Wayne’s business partner has the same) and for now he’s shrugging them off. When he starts hitting seeds at the major league level something tells me he’ll see a few Batman type graphics. Either way he will make a name for himself someday.
