Future Watch: Stefan Noesen Hockey Rookie Cards, Ducks – In the summer of 2013, Stefan Noesen was added to the Bobby Ryan deal when the Anaheim Ducks sent their star to the Ottawa Senators. Noesen, now 23, was the 21st overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and now the Anaheim Ducks are hoping that his 6′-1″, 205 pound frame will be a contributor in the near future.

He’s a solid right winger with a great one-timer and he’s great on the rush. Last year for the Norfolk Admirals he had 16 points in 27 games. Having already had a one-game NHL cup of coffee last year the Ducks were expecting more than 19 points in his first 47 games with the new San Diego Gulls so it looks like next year could be the year for this Texas-born prospect.

Here is a look at his draft day comments from 2011.

You can look for his rookie cards in 2015-16 Upper Deck MVP, Series 1 Hockey, O-Pee-Chee and Artifacts. He also has cards in Trilogy, including autographs and game-used memorabilia cards Right now he’s more of a long-term guy but he has the kind of attributes that teams are willing to wait for.

Currently he’s a mainstay in San Diego. He’s a very visible guy and a real fan favorite. He’s the kind of guy players will pull hard for. He’s good in the room and a hard worker out on the ice.

Noesen was also a pretty good youth basketball player as well. His dad played college basketball in Texas. Power forwards in the NBA are common place but they’re rare in the NHL. He had to overcome a torn ACL in 2014 and that definitely set him back. But he’s a battler and all of his former teammates expect to see him in Anaheim very soon.

Keep an eye out for his name when training camp opens up next year. If the Ducks go far in the playoffs this year, he could be a black ace for them.
