Future Watch: Thomas Chabot Rookie Hockey Cards, Senators – Thomas Chabot is a very talented offensive defenseman in the Ottawa Senators pipeline. He was drafted 18th overall in 2015 and ever since then he’s propelled his way to the top of his position no matter the league or tournament.
In the 2017 World Junior Championships he helped lead Team Canada to a Silver Medal performance. In seven games he had 10 points. He was simply the best on his team and in every game he played. For that he was voted “Best Defenseman” and the tournament MVP.
In his second season playing for the Saint John Sea Dogs he’s putting up more than a point-per-game numbers. For a blueliner that’s pretty special. By the time he’s 20 he should get a real crack to make the Ottawa Senators squad for the 2017-18 season. He was in the pro camp in 2016 and he came very close to making the team. That’s why he earned one pro game as a reward for his hard work.
At 6′-2″, 190lbs he’s strong, fast, smart, he can bring the puck up the ice end-to-end. He can make that last second pass to get a scoring chance for a teammate or he can bury a very impressive one-timer. The skies the limit for this Canadian.

There are plenty of opportunities for collectors to discover this potential star.
Thomas Chabot will have a Young Guns rookie card in 2016-17 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey when the product releases next month. He also has officially licensed NHL rookie cards in Parkhurst and Trilogy hockey as well. He also has cards in the recently released SP Game-Used Hockey. Also of note is that Chabot is the Ottawa Senators Rookie Redemption in 2016-17 Upper Deck Artifacts.
For fans of Canada’s National Team, Thomas Chabot also has cards in 2015-16 and 2016-17 Team Canada products from Upper Deck, as well as Leaf Heroes & Prospects.
The Sea Dogs will make a run at making it to the Memorial Cup. After his season ends he could end up in the NHL for an Ottawa Senators playoff run if the timing was right. It’s happened before and nobody would be shocked to see him playing in the NHL sooner rather than later.
