Future Watch: Top NFL Rookie Performances – Week Three, 2015 – Here is a look at some of the top NFL rookie performances, by position, from week three of the 2015 NFL season.

Quarterback

Marcus Mariota (Tenessee Titans) – 2nd Overall Pick – Oregon: 27-of-44, 367 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, 1 interception – 84.2 QB rating. Despite a strong showing, once again by Mariota, the Titans fell to the Indianapolis Colts 33-35.

Running Backs

Karlos Williams (Buffalo Bills) – 5th Round, 155th Overall Pick – Florida State: 12 carries, 110 yards, 9.2 yards-per-carry average and a touchdown in the Bills 41-14 road victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Thomas Rawls (Seattle Seahawks) – Undrafted Free Agent – Central Michigan: 16 carries, 104 yards, 6.5 yards-per-carry average. With an injury to Marshawn Lynch, Rawls became the impromptu go to back for the Seahawks. He didn’t disappoint helping the Seahawks embarrass the Chicago Bears 26-0.

Wide Receiver

Amari Cooper (Oakland Raiders) – 1st Round, 4th Overall Pick – Alabama: 8 receptions, 134 yards including a 40-yard bomb. Cooper proved once again that he is the Raiders number one receiver. The speedy deep threat presents match-up challenges for teams around the league, week after week. His one fumble didn’t prove too costly in the team’s 27-20 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Special Teams

Tyler Lockett ( Seattle Seahawks) – 3rd Round Pick 69th Overall – Kansas State: Lockett, who already has a punt return for a touchdown this season, took the second half kick-off against the Chicago Bears, 105 yards for a touchdown in the team’s 26-0 drubbing of the Bears.

Defense

Jordan Hicks, Linebacker (Philadelphia Eagles) – 3rd Round, 84th Overall Pick – Texas: Hicks recorded 10 tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery  in the Eagles’ 24-17 win against the New York Jets.
