Part 1 and Part 2 of this guide to collecting the 2014 Bowman Draft Autographs, focused primarily on your prototypical blue chip prospects. They include players many people have at least heard about and have maybe even seen on the checklists of other draft oriented products.

This third, and final, part will focus on players that were selected in the late second and third rounds of the 2014 MLB Draft.

Overall Selection: 55 Organization Ranking: 9
Scouting Report: A move to the bullpen was just what the doctor ordered for this fireballer from Miss. St. He fastball sits in the mid-90s with good movement. His slider is exceptional with swing and miss movement and velocity in the low 80s.

Scott Blewett – Kansas City Royals, RHP
Overall Selection: 56 Organization Ranking: 11
Scouting Report: At 6’6″, 210lbs, you’d expect him to be a power pitcher. Oddly enough, he relies on movement and timing to work the strike zone. He throws three pitches for strikes with average command and control. He projects as a solid number three starter.

Scouting Report: Displays a smooth, even swing, with quick hands that generates good bat speed translating into above-average power. Solid defender with a strong arm and runs well for his size.

Overall Selection: 59 Organization Ranking: 12
Scouting Report: Drawing comparisons to Adam Jones, he has a quick bat that should translate into above average power wants he fills out his 6’4″ frame. A solid defender, his all-around skill set will continue to improve with maturity.

Scouting Report: Despite suffering a bicep injury, he has shown consistent improvement. A low 90s fastball and plus curveball are his main weapons. He has a classic pitchers build at 6’3″, 205lbs but durability has been an issue.

Scouting Report: He is the grandson of the great, Harmon Killebrew. He possesses a smooth delivery with repeatable mechanics and good command and control of his pitch arsenal.

Scouting Report: An exceptional, two-way player, originally expected to be drafted as a pitcher. However, the Dodgers see potential in his bat and like his all-around athleticism.

Scouting Report: He’s gotten this far on speed and defense. His bat will have to become a more consistent part of his game to reach the big leagues. Has natural ability that needs to be harnessed and utilized on a daily basis.

Scouting Report: Draws comparison to Phil Hughes, and is projected as a number four starter. At just 18 he has time to add body mass to his 6’5″, 210lb frame. His pitch arsenal consists of just a high 80s fastball and a below average curve and changeup.

Scouting Report: His upside is tremendous raw power. His downside is poor plate discipline and even worse mechanics. His power potential is so great, Seattle is gambling they can instill some discipline at the plate and work with him on his swing.
