Hot in the Shop – Week of February 1st, 2016 – LOADED! – The NHL All-Star game concluded with the voice of its fans being heard loud and clear. The league did everything in its power to eliminate tough guy John Scott, from the spotlight and the game itself. The failed. Miserably. With the chants of MVP, fans took to Twitter and wrote in Scott’s name in the MVP voting.
Completely deserving of the honor having scored two goals, the NHL had no choice but to capitulate to the fans and officially named John Scott as the NHL All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player. A great story for fans and an embarrassing one for the league.
The NFL Pro-Bowl saw Team Irvin, lead by MVP Russell Wilson, defeat Team Rice 49-27. With that out of the way, the focus can return to the match-up of Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers and Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 this coming Sunday.
It is a HUGE week for new releases across every sport! The start of a new collecting season is finally hear with Wednesday’s release of 2016 Topps Baseball Series One! Plenty of other new products hit shelves this week as well but the clear choice for what will be Hot in the Shop for the Week of February 1st, 2016, will be everybody’s favorite baseball card set.
