Hot in the Shop – Week of February 27th, 2017 – Heritage! – The 2017 NASCAR season got underway with yesterday’s dramatic Daytona 500. The new stage point scoring system appears that it will add some excitement to what had become, at times, a mundane and repetitive viewing experience. Kurt Busch earned his first Daytona 500 victory driving for Stewart Hass Racing in the number 41 Ford Fusion car. Congratulations Kurt!
The NBA trade deadline came and went with no monumental trades. Although many had been rumored, they proved to be just that, rumors. Next up is the NHL deadline. The Western Conference leading Minnesota Wild strengthened their position by adding veteran two-way center, Martin Hanzel. Not giving up on the season just yet, the L.A. Kings acquired goalie, Ben Bishop, from the Tampa Bay Lightning.
