Hot in the Shop – Week of April 4th, 2016 – BIG Week! – We hope you all had a good weekend and are ready for a BIG week of new product releases! But first a recap of some events from the weekend in the world of sports and sports entertainment.
The match-up to crown this year’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Champion is set. Villanova made quick work of fellow number two seed Oklahoma to advance to tonight’s final. They will play the North Carolina Tar Heels who easily dismissed number ten seed Syracuse. The game airs at 9:20pm EST tonight.
The 2016 MLB season kicked off Opening Day with three games yesterday. It was the first time in history that the previous season’s World Series opponents faced off in a season opener. The Kansas City Royals beat the New York Mets 4-3.
WrestleMania 32 concluded to mixed reviews. A weekend dominated by NXT takeover and the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony actually out-shined the big event yesterday. Roman Reigns captured the WWE World Heavyweight Championship defeating Triple H. Charlotte Flair, daughter of the Nature Boy, won the Diva’s Championship in a three-way between herself, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch.
