Hot in the Shop – Week of January 23rd, 2017 – SPGU! – What another disappointing weekend of NFL football. In what most fans thought would be two potential nail-biters, turned into two complete, lopsided blowouts. That said, the match-up for Super Bowl 51 is set with the Atlanta Falcons taking on the New England Patriots on February 5th, 2017.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick make their record seventh Super Bowl appearance. However, with secondary market prices at the top of the food chain for Brady’s cards, the hobby would be much better served with a Falcons victory. Matt Ryan’s RCs would see a definite boost as would Julio Jones. In addition, 2014 and 2015 football boxes containing rookies of Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman would see an uptick in demand.
