Hot in the Shop – Week of March 21st, 2016 – All Sports! – The annual event that is March Madness is in full swing. The field of 64 has been trimmed to the Sweet 16 following a week that included numerous first round upsets. However, by the second round, the favorites led the way with few surprises.
The biggest NBA regular season match-up of the year saw the San Antonio Spurs take down the Golden State Warriors, 87-79. Last year’s MVP, Stephen Curry was strangely human from behind the arc, going just 1-of-12; a very uncharacteristic performance.
The start of the MLB season grows ever closer as spring training winds down. Teams will begin making roster cuts in the next few days. Collectors will be eagerly watching to see which players will achieve official rookie status for the start of the 2016 season.
The NFL Draft is just around the corner and numerous mock drafts are predicting that the Cleveland Browns will look to replace failed prospect, Johnny Manziel with either Carlos Wentz of North Dakota State or Jared Goff from Cal.
In NASCAR, fan favorite, Jimmie Johnson won his first race of the 2016 Sprint Cup season. His win in California allowed him to pass racing legend, Dale Earnhardt Sr. on the all-time list with 77 victories.
