NFL Draft LogoWith the 2015 NFL Draft less than two-weeks away, the numerous “mock” drafts are starting to take actual shape. In looking at the rosters of NFL teams around the league, there are a handful that will be looking to add a quarterback to compete for a starting position come training camp. While everyone knows that Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are the this year’s top prizes, more than two rookie quarterbacks will be selected in the early rounds. Here is a look at NFL Draft Watch: NFL Starting QB’s in Jeopardy.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – 1st Overall Pick

The writing is on the wall for Mike Glennon. With the number one overall pick, it is highly likely that the Bucs select one of the two stud quarterbacks in the draft class, either Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota.

Tennessee Titans – 2nd Overall Pick

Despite talk of a potential trade for Philip Rivers, chances are that the Titans will select whoever the Bucs don’t select with the first pick. While Zach Mettenberger has been serviceable, it’s highly unlikely he is taking snaps on opening day.

New York Jets – 6th Overall Pick

It appears Geno Smith’s days are numbered. The Jets would love to trade up to the number one or two pick to grab one of the top arms. However, chances of that happening, by most estimates, remains around 10%. That leaves management with a big decision in selecting from the second tier of available quarterbacks.

Cleveland Browns – 12th Overall Pick

All may not be lost yet with Johnny Manziel. However, chances are high that Browns management will look to hedge their bets and send a message by selecting another rookie quarterback.
