PSA Hosting Game-Used Bat Sweepstakes and Free Custom Card EncapsulationPSA Hosting Game-Used Bat Sweepstakes and Free Custom Card Encapsulation – Enter for a chance to win a signed, game-used bat from one of three baseball titans, or be immortalized in trading card form while holding said bat? Fortunately, during the 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention, PSA is providing show attendees with both opportunities.

Aside from giving away three game-used bats in three days during the July 26-30 show, those visiting the PSA booth can have their picture taken with a bat of their choice and have that picture placed in a trading card, where it will be encapsulated with a PSA holder and custom label at no charge.

“The National Sports Collectors Convention is like the Super Bowl of the hobby, and each year we challenge ourselves to go bigger and better. So, this year we’re giving away Frank Thomas, Derek Jeter and Kris Bryant signed bats, all game used and totaling over $10,000 in value. Each bat is graded a PSA/DNA GU 10. And that’s just the beginning of what will be available at the PSA booth,” said PSA President Joe Orlando.

Sweepstakes entries can be made in person at the PSA booth (booth 49), or online at www.PSAcard.com. Entries open July 10, 2017. Bats will be given out in the following order: Thomas (Thursday, July 27), Jeter (Friday, July 28) and Bryant (Saturday, July 29). Winners will be announced each day of the sweepstakes at 4 p.m.

“It isn’t often that fans can come this close to the actually bats used by these tremendous athletes, let alone hold the bats and have their pictures taken with them. This is our way of giving back to the collecting community. And what better way to chronicle your time at the National than preserving that memory in a trading card,” said Orlando. “The best part is, it’s free.”

PSA is also pleased to announce the release of the book, Legendary Lumber: The Top 100 Player Bats in PSA Hosting Game-Used Bat Sweepstakes and Free Custom Card EncapsulationBaseball History, written by Orlando, with Tom and Ellen Zappala. The Zappalas will be present to sign copies of the book, Friday, July 28, which will be given out to those who purchase a Gold or Platinum PSA Collectors Club membership during the show.

Visitors to the PSA booth can also take home PSA-graded cards for simply “checking in” on social media. Collectors are encouraged to follow @PSAcard on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for promotional details.

PSA will also be handing out free promotional miniature bats emblazoned with the phrase “Submission Stress Stick” to booth visitors. The bats are intended to help collectors relieve anxiety while awaiting the return of their submissions. However, please keep in mind that these bats should not be used to hit or strike PSA Customer Service representatives if a submitter’s grades are lower than expected. All giveaway items are limited in quantity, and available only while supplies last.
