Yesterday, Topps showcased two inserts that honor the greats of the game. Today, it brings you two inserts that celebrate the league’s established superstars.
Trajectory Relics and Autographs
Relive the path to greatness of 40 of baseball’s biggest stars. Trajectory inserts feature the progression of a player’s performance from his rookie season to now. Look for stars like David Wright, Paul Goldschmidt, Evan Gattis and Yoenis Cespedes.
Super Veterans (Retail Only)
Celebrate the best of the best in the game with exclusive autographs (#’d to 10), relics (#’d to 25) and autographed relics (#’d to 5) from players like David Ortiz, Prince Fielder, Miguel Cabrera and more. The Super Veterans are only available in retail stores so be sure to pick up packs at your closest WalMart or Target to get your hands on them.

In the regular baseball set, they randomly insert 10 relic cards featuring not only photos of star players but also actual tiny pieces (mostly bases) of their home stadiums. Inspired by the burgeoning online and investing worlds, multi-sport eTopps cards are offered as IPOs (Initial Player Offerings) on a members-only website. Investors track market prices that rise and fall based on the player’s real-time performance, and buyers and sellers of cards negotiate online via eBay.
