2017-18 NBA Rookies Take Center Stage for Team USA – The Players
The rookie cards of these players will see a bump in demand with the global attention the FIBA World 
Cup will receive. This is particularly true for players of the 2017 NBA Draft Class that includes the following. (Links go to Future Watch Player Profiles.)
- Kyle Kuzma, Forward – Brooklyn Nets, 2017 (Round: 1 / Pick: 27)
- Donovan Mitchell, Guard – Denver Nuggets, 2017 (Round: 1 / Pick: 13)
- Jayson Tatum, Forward – Boston Celtics 2017 (Round: 1 / Pick: 3)
- Derrick White, Guard – San Antonio Spurs 2017 (Round: 1 / Pick: 29)
Each of these players is considered a building block for each of their respective teams. Ownership for each of these organizations has high hopes for these young players. To date, Donovan Mitchell has been the most impressive player from this list. He should have, arguably, been the 2017-18 NBA Rookie of the Year.

Most players have a total of 32 rookie cards. One for each NBA licensed product released by Panini America during the 2017-18 NBA season. While players have several autographs, from their rookie season, only a small handful are designated as true autographed RCs. True rookie card designation requires a card listed in the base set. However, as evidenced by pricing on the secondary market, no premium is currently placed on true rookie cards.
