2019-20 Panini NBA Rookie Report – Future Looks Bright – Welcome to the 2019-20 NBA Rookie Report! This weekly report will highlight notable performances from 2019-20 rookies across the league. Keep tabs on all the top rookie performances and player rankings at the NBA Rookie Ladder.

When appropriate, we will also showcase the player’s key rookie cards in new or soon-to-be released products. Most of these players will have their first NBA licensed rookie cards in 2019-20 Panini NBA Hoops Basketball Cards.

PJ Washington Jr. – Charlotte Hornets

PJ Washington Jr. set the rookie record for most 3-pointers made in a Rookie Debut game with seven. The Kentucky prospect’s hot shooting stroke continued into the regular season, when the rookie recorded 27 points in 38 minutes of play. PJ lead the Hornets in scoring, and it is safe to say he will be playing a big role in the Hornets offense this year. Washington currently ranks first in rebounds per game for rookies.

Rui Hachimura – Washington Wizards

Rui made his long-awaited NBA debut against the Dallas Mavericks, and did not disappoint. He recorded a double-double in 25 minutes of play. In the following games, Rui recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds, as well as 16 points and 8 rebounds. Rui will play a key part in the Washington Wizards offense this year.

Ja Morant – Memphis Grizzlies

The number two overall pick debuted as the starting point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies.  He recorded 14 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists against the Miami Heat. Morant delivered many flashy plays and showed why he is one of the most explosive players in this years draft!

RJ Barrett – New York Knicks

RJ Barrett did not disappoint in his NBA debut against the Spurs. The Duke prodigy recorded 21 points in 37 minutes of playing time. Look for Barrett to continue his success within the Knicks starting lineup. Expect lots of highlight plays, as RJ likes to get out on the fast break and run!

Kendrick Nunn – Miami Heat

As an undrafted rookie in the 2018 NBADraft, Kendrick Nunn has turned plenty of heads, including the Miami Heat. After recording 40 points in a pre-season game, Nunn followed it up with a 24 point outing, along with 2 rebounds and 3 assists to go with it. Nunn took advantage of being placed in the starting lineup for the Heat, delivering another solid outing. Note, to date, Kendrick Nunn has no trading cards of any kind.

Coby White – Chicago Bulls

10/25/2019 – 25 Pts, 6 Rbds, 2 Asst

During opening night, Coby White delivered an excellent performance, scoring 17 points off the bench in 27 minutes of play. White also recorded 3 rebounds and 7 assists. In his next game, White recorded another 25 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 2 assists!

Eric Paschall – Golden State Warriors

  • 11/04/2019 – 34 Pts, 13 Rbds

Eric Paschall has made the most out of his opportunity with the Warriors, recording three, 20-point games since the start of the season. The Villanova big man has shown his ability to hold his own on the court and continues to prove why he was one of the draft’s biggest steals at pick number 41! With an injury ridden Golden State Warriors team, expect to see a lot more of Paschall!
