Of note, yes, number one overall pick from the 2019 NHL Draft, Jack Hughes, is on the checklist. Upper Deck is holding back the number two overall pick, Kappo Kakko, for Series 2. As a reminder, to be considered rookie card eligible, according to current NHL requirements, player must have skated in at least one NHL game. Several of the players on the Series 1 Young Guns Checklist played in games as late call-ups in the 2018-19 season. Others, like Jack Hughes and Kappo Kakko have already played for their teams this season.
