The following promotions are available to all attendees of the 2019 National Sports Collectors Convention.

Cryptozoic  2019 National Redemption Program

The GTS Lounge (located adjacent to the Ripping Wax Case Break Pavilion and the Mike Berkus Main Stage) will be home to the Cryptozoic booth. A representative will be on hand to run a special redemption program, distribute promo cards, conduct raffles and more!

Historic Autographs 2019 National Redemption Program

Historic Autographs has close to $8,000 worth of buybacks available as rewards for purchases made on Historic Autographs products at the National.

Dingers & Dunks is this year’s show-only release and it will include “some of the biggest names in modern collecting” with ink as rare as 1/1. There will be less than 200 boxes made for this one and they will include today’s stars, Hall of Famers, top rookies, rookie patch autos, sets, parallels and even 1/1 Federal League art cards.

Among the inclusions will be an autographed BAS 10 2011 Topps Update Mike Trout RC, 2016 Bowman’s Best Alex Bregman Atomic Refractor auto (15/25) BGS 10/10 and rare ink from Trout, Bryce Harper, Yu Darvish, Kobe Bryant (/5), Giannis Antetokounmpo (1/1), Stephen Curry (/20) and Kevin Durant (/10). There also will be a heavy Luka Doncic presence with his autographed RCs found one in every 10 boxes.

Also available is a sealed 2003-04 Fleer Focus NBA box, a 1993 SP set (with BGS 8.5 Derek Jeter RC), a number of 2001 sets with Albert Pujols and Ichiro Suzuki PSA 10 rookies, 2016 Bowman Chrome sets with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. RCs and even two Antetokounmpo signed basketballs.

Historic Autographs has 13 top-level buybacks available at the show with a reservation redemption program that can help you get it if you’re doing some buying at the show.

Card availability must be checked on before you make a purchase in this first-come first-served program. The cards below are not for sale, but rather can be yours if you make a purchase of the appropriate amount from a dealer on the show floor.

“The program is simple, stop by our booth and look at what cards are still available,” said the company announcement. “If you want a certain card, reserve that card and go to one off our distributors and work out a deal for HA product. Once you have done that, spend money on Historic Autograph products (the Dingers & Dunks product counts toward our program) and bring the receipt/product to our booth, we will give you the card you have reserved.”

Topps 2019 National Wrapper Redemption Program

This year’s Topps wrapper redemption program will feature a National branded 2019 Bowman set.

Similar to last year’s program, for collectors to get the NSCC-exclusive Bowman redemption packs, they will have to purchase hobby boxes from a dealer at the National, receive a specially marked sticker, and then bring it to the Topps booth with the sealed box to redeem for a pack. The packs contain four exclusive Bowman cards with a chance at autographs and rare refractors.

One box is eligible for one or two packs depending on the product. See the table below for eligible boxes and the number of packs that can be redeemed per box. There is a limit of 12 packs per person, per transaction, and packs are only available while supplies last.

Each day of the show, there will be limited number of packs available to spread it across the duration of the NSCC.

The redemption line will open Thursday-Sunday at 11:30 am. Wednesday the pack redemption line will open at 5 pm.

The Topps booth will feature guest appearances, pack wars, contests, a card wall and much more at this year’s show. They will also announce their National Baseball Card Day checklist in advance of the special day on August 10th. Stay tuned for more details!

Hunter Greene signing

Top Cincinnati Reds prospect Hunter Greene is headed to Chicago. Greene, the No. 2 overall pick in 2017, will be signing special cards made just for the NSCC, limited to the first 100 people per day.

Time: Friday, 2-3 pm; Saturday, 11 am-noon

Artist Graig Kreindler signing

Many sports fans know the great work of artist Graig Kreindler. Kreindler has worked with Topps this year on the 150 Years of Baseball set, exclusively sold on Topps.com.

His artwork has featured many of the most iconic players throughout baseball history.

Kreinder will be signing prints included as a gift-with-purchase for the 150th Anniversary set being sold at the NSCC. There is a maximum of three autographs per person, per day.

Time: Thursday, 2-3 pm. 

Meet Master Chef Graham Elliot

As a big baseball card collector, Graham Elliot was the perfect person to be featured in 2019 Topps Allen & Ginter. Now meet the master chef at the Topps booth where he will sign specially made cards for the show.

Time: Saturday, 2:30-3:30 pm

Topps Q&A

For the last severeal years, Topps has held a question-and-answer session with its executives. Collectors can come to the event, ask their burning questions while food and drinks are being served.

It’s loud. It’s crazy. It’s a lot of fun.

TRISTAR 2019 National Bonus Bag Program

Along with all of the autograph signers TRISTAR will be hosting at this year’s National, they will also have bonus bags for collectors who buy boxes from select retailers at the show and bring them to the TRISTAR booth to open.

Eight TRISTAR Hidden Treasures products are eligible for bonus bags and could include items like a Ryne Sandberg autographed jersey or autographed items from Pele, Ted Williiams, Walter Payton, Jason Momoa, Sandy Koufax and more.

Here are a list of activities available at the Ultra PRO booth #870.

Monumental Multi-Sport Blind Boxes Return

Monumental returns from Upper Deck Authenticated with 125 blind boxes featuring five (5) signed UDA multi-sport items per box for $1000 plus tax. There will be several spokesperson themed hot boxes where multiple items will be signed by a superstar athlete like Ben Simmons, Serena Williams, Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky, Connor McDavid, LeBron James or Michael Jordan. There will also be larger than life redemptions for items too large to fit in the Monumental boxes that will be fulfilled on site!

Upper Deck Breakers Lounge

Upper Deck learned a long time ago that fans don’t like waiting in lines to take advantage of these wrapper redemption promotions so we cultivated a fan-friendly booth set up where collectors can break in comfort and staff will bring them their items directly.

Kidority Kards

Kids are the future of the hobby and Upper Deck is bringing in the charity Kidority Kards to have a presence in the company’s corporate booth. Kids should stop by to meet the Kidority Kards crew who will be handing out free Upper Deck cards and goodies for fans in attendance. Kidority Kards is a charity focused on sharing the hobby with the next generation of collectors. They will be accepting Upper Deck cards at the booth to repackage for kids they work with and accepting donations to help them with supplies and shipping expenses. Adult collectors should consider a donation to this cause.

Daily Raffles

Each day Upper Deck will host FREE raffles to say thank you to fans for helping to make Upper Deck the best in the business. Try to arrive at least fifteen minutes prior to the draw to get a free ticket where you can score insert cards, signed memorabilia, sealed product, Upper Deck gear and more!

NSCC attendees can take photos at the National and make them into their very own digital Upper Deck card using a custom Snapchat filter that will be available each day of the show on the show floor during these times:

Expired Redemption Raffle

Fans who submitted expired redemptions to Upper Deck will have the opportunity to claim their cards starting Saturday morning through Sunday night. Topps has announced their VIP only set for the 2019 National. The 5-card set contains Chicago baseball legends.

Panini

Panini has a special 10-card set that will be distributed to registered show VIPs. The multisport set will be distributed through a coupon inserted into each of the show’s VIP packages; the coupon must be presented at the Panini America booth. Featured in this year’s VIP set are show-only trading cards of Kyler Murray, Dwayne Haskins, Daniel Jones, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Fernando Tatis Jr., Eloy Jimenez, Trae Young, Luka Doncic, R.J. The Future of Trading Cards Presentation

The National Case Breaking Pavilion hosted by RippingWax.com, will feature several thousand square feet of exclusive space for breakers. The Case Break Pavilion is also home to the Mike Berkus Main Stage. The Main Stage, was a vision of  now deceased, organizer and promoter, Mike Berkus. The Main Stage has become a focal point of the National. 

The stage itself will feature professional lighting and three surrounding 70-inch video screens complete with full audio. The National Case Breaking Pavilion will feature five full days of case breaking activities. These activities will include Grand Opening Ceremonies, Sports Celebrity Appearances and much more.

Hosts of GoGTSLive – The Hobby’s Web Show, Rob Bertrand & Ivan Lovegren will once again serve as emcees providing attendees an entertaining mix of trivia contests, prize giveaways, interviews with industry personnel and much more! Not for the budget conscious collector but instead a high-rolling affair for collectors and retailers with deep pockets. The venue is almost always a secret until the last minute and this year’s high class affair will be no different.

So just how can you attend this invite only event? If things hold true to past years, collectors purchasing a TBD amount worth of select Panini trading card products on the show floor, are automatically eligible to attend. While that might seem like a steep price, those willing to step up to the plate in past years have been rewarded with a 5-star dining experience, music, entertainment, free product and the opportunity to mix and mingle with high-profile celebrity athletes. What’s in store for this year is anybody’s guess. (Information provided is based on previous years and will be updated as new information becomes available.)

SGC Museum Display

The SGC Museum Display at the 2019 National Sports Collectors Convention will feature a never-before-seen exhibit with a trio of historic Cubs jerseys!

At this year’s National in Chicago, SGC promises you’ll see something you have never seen before, and may never again—a collection of game-worn jerseys of that “trio of bear cubs, and fleeter than birds“—Tinker, Evers, and Chance!

This beyond rare grouping of early 20^th century game-worn Cubs uniforms was acquired in the past year through a private transaction by a collector who was willing to invest in them based on his high level of confidence with the SGC uniform division. SGC Uniform Authenticator Dave Grob remarked: “If I had previously not had the honor and pleasure of examining these jerseys, I would be making a special trip just to see them and bask in their history and significance.”

This high-end collector’s confidence has continued with his permission to allow SGC to display these historic uniforms at SGC’s booth this year. In addition to this iconic trio of jerseys, SGC will have a game-worn Ernie Banks jersey and several iconic cards on display. The SGC Museum Display will be located at booth #824 and the SGC Submission Center will be located at booth #626, both in the Corporate Pavilion.
