The hit program in Select is absolutely amazing. While there is a promise of (2) Autographs and (1) Memorabilia Card in each box, collectors will surely be putting the combined Signature Memorabilia cards at the top of their wantlists. There are some stunning names to grab here, including Aaron Rodgers, Le’Veon Bell, Steve Young and Devin Singletary among others.
Select, in recent years, has adopted the Prizm parallel program, and this year’s assortment of colors and technologies are phenomenal. Die cuts are a big part of the options available, while the opti-chrome printing really shines with the likes of Disco and Dragon Scale reflective foil effects.
The Insert program is absolutely incredible with a bevy of NEW themes. At the top of the list (pardon the pun) is Select1ons, which highlights the first overall picks from past NFL Drafts, with names like Peyton Manning, Cam Newton and David Carr appearing. Photo buffs, meanwhile, will want to hunt for Snapshots which features incredible game photography. These cards are sure to have a longlasting popularity in the hobby.
Not to be understated is how desirable the XRC collection will be. While these are redemptions for cards of 2021 NFL Draft picks, they are certain to command a huge want on the secondary market. This year’s efforts from Panini include five quarterbacks, five running backs, five wide receivers, two tight ends and three defenders in four Prizm variants – standard, Gold, Black and Tye Dye – along with five Mystery Autographs that carry the same color varieties.
