Future Watch: Aaron Ramsdale Soccer Cards, Sheffield United – The first goalkeeper I have ever featured here is a young man with loads of potential and already has plenty of top flight experience under his belt. New Sheffield United signing Aaron Ramsdale leaves relegated Bournemouth to go back to the club that originally sent him to Bournemouth in 2017.

Ramsdale spent last season as the number one keeper for the Cherries, and despite the team’s struggles, Ramsdale was a positive. He had a 1.68 goals against average and recorded 5 clean sheets in his 37 Premier League appearances in 2019-20. He made 129 saves, including one penalty, And he was chosen by the club’s supporters as the Player of the Year.

The attributes are all there for the 6’2” keeper. He has good size but gets down very well to make diving saves to either side with the same consistency. Ramsdale hits a good long ball as well and recorded one assist last season. He also totaled 203 accurate long balls for the campaign.

His shot stopping is very good as well to either side of goal and he has strong hands to keep from allowing too many rebounds. He has no fear coming out to face a 1-v-1 and has the ability to get into position quickly to make himself big in those situations.

The 22-year old has not yet earned a cap for England’s full international side, but I expect that to change soon. He was in net most recently for the England U-21 side as they played in UEFA U-21 Championship Qualifying.

Check out this Ramsdale’s sparkling saves:

Ramsdale’s first cards popped up in 2019-20 Panini Chronicles Soccer, and he was later included in 2019-20 Panini Impeccable Soccer. Forgive the pun, but these are cards you’ll want to save!
