Future Watch: Nicolas Hague Rookie Hockey Cards, Golden Knights – Nicolas Hague was drafted by the Las Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Draft. He was the fourth selection in the history of the franchise. The 6′-6″ defenseman is still filling out, but he’s always had all the tools to become a career NHL player.

In 2015-16, the bigger blueliner started to make his mark with the Mississauga Steelheads in the OHL. In 66 games, he scored 14 goals and 10 assists which was a good start besides getting in seven playoff games.

The next season he wore the “A” as assistant captain and got 18 goals and 46 points with 107 PIMS. He added 12 points in 18 playoff games.

While wearing the “C”, in the 2017-18 season, he scored 35 goals, leading all defenseman in the OHL in goals and managed to get 78 points in 67 games. After five playoff games, he was loaned to the Chicago Wolves to get a taste of the AHL. He was voted CHL Defenseman of the Year.

In 2018-19, he turned pro and had a terrific rookie season with 13 goals and 32 points in 75 games. His discipline was much better keeping himself out of the penalty box and he had a long playoff run getting in 22 games until the Wolves lost to Charlotte in the Calder Cup Final.

2019-20 saw Hague start in the NHL and end up in the AHL for a while playing in 21 games and netting 10 points. Now 221 pounds, the Kitchener Ontario, Native, got called back up and had an impact at the highest level. In 38 games of NHL action, Hague tallied one goal and 10 assists.

Collectors can find Nicolas Hague’s 2019-20 Young Guns Rookie Card in Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey. He has cards in additional 2019-20 hockey products including O-Pee-Chee Platinum and SP Game-Used, to name a few.

Here’s a look at that big shot:

Hague has a big shot but probably won’t score a lot of NHL goals. He will put up points and become a physical presence and a fan favorite as a result.
