Future Watch: Brandon Aiyuk Football Cards, 49ers – Brandon Aiyuk was selected by the San Francisco 49ers with the 25th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. In what experts are saying is a historic wide receiver draft, the 49ers may have gotten themselves a gem towards the end of the first round.
Aiyuk played his high school football at Robert McQueen High School in Reno, Nevada. He played both sides of the ball there. Besides wide receiver he was a defensive back and he returned kicks! He was named to the first-team All-Northern Nevada in his senior year there and he started his college career at Sierra College. As a freshman there he caught 29 passes for 573 yards and five touchdowns. He was named All-Big 8 Conference. As a junior, he caught 60 passes for 960 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named a Junior College All-American.
In 2018, he transferred to Arizona State University. In two seasons there this receiver caught 98 balls for 1,666 yards and 11 touchdowns. He averaged 27.1 yards per kick return and 11.7 yards per punt return including a touchdown. In that final season, he was named to the First-Team, All-Pac 12 and his all-purpose yardage in that final season was the fifth most in the history of the program.
At the NFL Combine the almost six-foot receiver ran an excellent 4.5 in the 40-yard dash as well as a 40.0 inch vertical, 10 feet 8 inches in the broad jump and 11 reps on the weight bench. There’s no question the combine helped his cause in becoming a first-round selection.
Collectors can find Brandon Aiyuk’s pre-draft cards in 2020 SAGE and 2020 Leaf products as well as 2020 Panini Contenders Draft Picks and 2020 Prizm Collegiate Football. He will also be featured in regular season products from Panini America that have recently released including Score.
Collect this guy at all costs. He has a tremendous amount of ability.
