Future Watch: Brusdar Graterol Rookie Baseball Cards, TwinsFuture Watch: Brusdar Graterol Rookie Baseball Cards, TwinsBrusdar Graterol was signed by the Minnesota Twins as an International free agent in 2014. In 2015, he tore his UCL playing in the Dominican Summer League. Pitchers recover from this injury every day; every season so let’s see how he’s progressing.

He was signed at 16 and is now 20. In 2017, he played for two teams and his combined numbers were a tidy 2.70 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 40 innings. His 4-1 record in 10 games showed he was back.

In 2018, he played in two different levels of A-ball. With the Cedar Rapids Kernels he was 3-2 with a 2.18 ERA. He had 51 strikeouts in 41 innings. Completely dominant.

He then played for the Fort Myers Miracle. In 19 starts he threw over 100 innings for the first time in his pro career. He had 107 strikeouts in 102 innings and a 2.74 ERA. Graterol was 8-4 with a 1.15 WHIP.

According to his MLB.com draft profile:

Graterol has exciting raw stuff that was clearly too much for Rookie-level hitters. His fastball now sits at 95-98 mph and he can touch triple digits. He throws two distinct breaking balls and both are viable weapons, with his slider having the chance to be a wipe out plus pitch down the road. Graterol has definitely been control over command, with his pure stuff helping mask any issues in that regard at the lower levels. But the Twins are very encouraged with the strike-throwing strides he made in 2017 and feel he could climb the ranks as one of the better pitching prospects in baseball as he ascends through the organization. ETA 2021.

Collectors can get his 2018 Bowman Draft autographed rookie card.

Here’s a look at him in action:

This pitcher is developing into a potential #1 or #2 for the Twins. Collectors have one last chance to grab his cards before he’s a widely known commodity.
