Future Watch: Bryan Edwards Football Cards, Las Vegas Raiders – Bryan Edwards was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders with the 81st overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. This 6-3 wide receiver has a lot of tools that NFL coaches like to see.

Edwards attended Conway High School in Conway, South Carolina. He made the most of his time there catching 188 passes for 2,562 yards and 32 touchdowns. He was chosen to play in the 2016 U.S. Army All-American Game but had to back out because of injury.

As a freshman with the USC Gamecocks, Edwards played in 12 games and had 44 receptions for 590 yards and four touchdowns. That good start was followed by a sophomore season where he played in 13 games and excelled with 64 receptions for 793 yards and five touchdowns.

In 2018, as a junior, this receiver was asked to return punts as well. He returned 12 punts for 95 yards with 32 as his long. As a receiver, Edwards had 55 receptions for 846 yards and seven touchdowns with 75 as his long.

In 2019, Edwards was named the team captain. The senior caught 71 passes for 816 yards and six touchdowns with, again, 75 as his longest in 10 games. He returned seven punts for 125 yards, good for a 17.9 return average! He missed the final two games with a knee injury but was still voted Second-team All-SEC. He also won the Steve Spurrier MVP Award and three other team honors.

Bryan Edwards is about to get his season on track with the Raiders. In the four games he has played in thus far (he was on the sidelines with an ankle injury for four others), the rookie has six receptions for 115 yards for a tremendous 19.2 yards per catch! The Raiders have a lot of receivers, so he won’t get a ton of targets this year; but, he should still be collected this year before his numbers go up next season.
