Future Watch: Calvin Ridley Rookie Football Cards, FalconsFuture Watch: Calvin Ridley Rookie Football Cards, Falcons – Calvin Ridley was selected by the Atlanta Falcons with the 26th overall pick. While the team works out a deal with Julio Jones, their top receiver, the team will get an extended look at Ridley in OTA’s.

Ridley played his college games for Alabama. In his first season there he had 89 catches for 1,045 yards and seven touchdowns. Those are good numbers for any first-year player.

In his second season he dipped a bit in production. He still had seven touchdowns, but he had 72 receptions for 769 yards. He had to improve if he wanted to be a top pick in the upcoming draft.

In 2017, he had 63 receptions for 967 yards, an eye-popping 15.3 yards per catch average. He had five touchdowns and after that season ended he left college early declaring himself eligible for the 2018 NFL Draft.

His first NFL contract was worth $10 million dollars spread out over four years. His signing bonus was slightly over six million dollars. Known for his hard work, the team feels pretty comfortable with the deal knowing what he can do on the gridiron.

You can find rookie cards of him in 2018 Panini Luminance, Score, Majestic and Contenders Draft Picks to name a few. He also has cards in 2018 Leaf Metal Draft.

Here’s the NFL Network breaking down this talented pass catcher:

He’s 6-1, 189 pounds and he runs a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash. With Matt Ryan as his quarterback, collectors have to be salivating. He could be a rookie of the year candidate and more if everything breaks right.

Many believe Ridley can be a game-changer. It’s not often that you hear that and now his summer training program is the key to see what he can do this fall. Most are betting he’ll be a star in the league.
