Future Watch: Carson Wentz Rookie Football Cards, Eagles – As the number two overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft, Wentz came with a lot of hype. He is the highest drafted quarterback from an FCS school, and the highest drafted player ever from North Dakota State. He is not expected to be named the team’s starting quarterback but will most likely see playing time this year.

Wentz started both his junior and senior year and put up solid numbers. Pro scouts particularly keyed in on his accuracy as reflected in his overall passer rating as seen below.

Wentz suffered a hairline fracture in his ribs in the Eagle’s opening pre-season game. He is expected to start throwing again this week. He is listed third on the team’s depth chart behind Sam Bradford and Chase Daniel.
