Future Watch: Cedric Paquette Rookie Hockey Cards, Tampa Bay LightningCedric Paquette is having a rookie season like few other players have ever experienced. He’s currently playing on the third line for the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, in a battle for the Stanley Cup. Paquette has scored two goals in the first three games of the series and is on a quest for his franchise’s second-ever championship and his first drink out of Lord Stanley.

The young pivot has just 66 regular seasons games on his resume yet already has 21 in the playoffs. He has even scored three goals all of which were important and unexpected. Now everybody knows his name and is aware that he is a scoring threat whenever he is out on the ice. During the regular season, the 21-year-old tallied 12 goals.

Paquette had 20 goals for the Syracuse Crunch during the 2012-13 season. The coach of the Lightning, Jon Cooper was his coach and he has graduated a lot of players to the NHL in the past two seasons. Cooper got promoted from Syracuse during that 2012-13 season and Paquette patiently waited and got a cup of coffee and four playoffs games in that 2014 season with his former coach.

The future looks pretty bright for this 4th rounder. Despite being drafted in 2012, his rookie cards all hail from 2014-15 Upper Deck hockey card products. His Young Guns rookie card can be found in boxes of 2014-15 Upper Deck Series 2 Hockey. The price of the card has been steadily escalating as the Lightning have been getting closer to hoisting the Stanley Cup.

Cedric Paquette currently has just one rookie autographed card. It is from the 2014-15 Upper Deck SPx Hockey set. Aside from his Young Guns RC, this is considered to be the card with the highest reward potential for future value.
