Future Watch: Clelin Ferrell Rookie Football Cards, RaidersFuture Watch: Clelin Ferrell Rookie Football Cards, Raiders Clelin Ferrell was drafted by the Oakland Raiders with the fourth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. At 6-4, 265 pounds, he can be a fierce addition to an improving team.

In his freshman season, he only played in one game. In a good program, that’s not surprising.

He played in 14 games in 2016 and had six sacks and 44 tackles, 21 of them were solo. He was a part of Clemson’s National Championship squad and was going to go for another. He did win the Defensive MVP award in the Fiesta Bowl game.

In 2017, he had 9.5 sacks and 66 tackles, 33 of them were the solo variety. He added two forced fumbles as well. He was All-ACC first team and a First Team All-American.

He saved his best for his senior year in 2018. The big man had 11.5 sacks with 55 tackles with 29 of them being solos. Besides winning another National Championship, he was ACC Defensive Player of the Year, Ted Hendricks Award (voted as the top defensive end in NCAA Football), Consensus All-American and First Team All-American. What a year!

He showed up at the combine did 25 reps on the bench press, ran a few drills and that was all any scout needed to see.

Collectors can find rookie cards of his in 2019 Panini Illusions, Absolute Football, Prestige, Impeccable and Leaf Metal Draft to name a few.

In his first three weeks with the Raiders, he’s managed three tackles in each game, one sack, and four stuff yards. His last game against the Colts included a tackle and two stuff yards. He’s making an impact as they work him in the lineup.

Coach Gruden talks about his versatility:

He had a concussion and is now cleared to play again. He missed some time but look for him to get better and better. He is expected to be a star, now he has to prove it.
