Future Watch: Conor Timmins Rookie Hockey Cards, Avalanche – Conor Timmins was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche with the 32nd overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-2 defenseman has skill and speed and a lot of NHL seem to want to trade for him.
In 2015-16, he got his feet wet in the OHL with the Sault. Ste Marie Greyhounds. He played 60 regular-season games and 12 in the postseason.
In 2016-17, it started to click, that season he played in 67 games, scored seven goals and 54 helpers. In the playoffs, he had seven points in 11 games. That year he played in the CHL Top Prospects Game.
In 2017-18, a concussion and eventual post-concussion syndrome shortened his season to just 36 games but that didn’t stop him from scoring eight goals and 41 points. In 23 playoff games, that season the St. Catharines Ontario native had five goals and 13 assists. During that season he represented his country, Canada, in the 2018 U20 World Junior Championship. In that tournament, he had five points in seven games. He was voted Top-3 on the team, had the best plus/minus in the tournament (+15) and he took home a gold medal.
Collectors can find his Young Guns rookie card in the 2019-20 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey and Parkhurst has his rookie card and so will future releases.
