Future Watch: Corey Coleman Rookie Football Cards, Browns – Coming out of a college program with an up-tempo offense like Baylor was ideally suited for Corey Coleman’s transition to the NFL game. The Cleveland Browns selected the 5′-11″, 185lb. wide receiver in the first round with the 15th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
A veteran of USA Football, Coleman has been groomed to be a professional player for years. He is actually featured quite heavily throughout the 2012 USA Football set by Upper Deck. At Baylor, Coleman earned Consensus All-America honors in 2015 and was that year’s NCAA Fred Biletnikoff Award Winner as the nation’s top wide receiver.
As a three-year starter, Coleman put up some gaudy statistics, including: 173 receptions for 3,009 yards (17.4 yard average) and 33 touchdowns.
His NFL Draft Profile states: “He’s a dynamic playmaker. Think Percy Harvin, that’s the kind of playmaker that he is. He has a quick start and explosive speed. The only key for him is that he hasn’t run a route tree. You will have to manufacture touches for him as he learns the route tree. He’s special with the football in his hands.” – Mike Mayock
