Future Watch: Cristian Pache Rookie Baseball Cards, BravesFuture Watch: Cristian Pache Rookie Baseball Cards, BravesCristian Pache was signed as an international free agent by the Atlanta Braves in 2015. He was one of the top free agents in that group and they made sure they signed him quickly.

In 2016, he played with the GCL Braves. He had two doubles and four triples as well as 11 RBI, seven steals and a .283 batting average. He then jumped to the Appalachian League and did more of the same and hit .333 to close out that season.

In 2017, he started with the Rome Braves in A-Ball. In 469 at-bats, he hit 13 doubles, eight triples, with 42 RBI, 32 steals and a .283 batting average.

In 2018, he was with the Florida Fire Frogs. In 369 at-bats he smacked 20 doubles, five triples, eight homers while driving in 40. His batting average was .285 and he got promoted to Double-A with the Mississippi Braves.

Collectors can find his rookie card in 2019 Bowman Chrome.

According to his MLB.com Prospect Profile:

Pache might be the best defensive outfielder in the Minor Leagues at present and once he gets to the big leagues, he’ll immediately join a list of elite-level center fielders. His speed allows him to cover a tremendous amount of ground and his plus instincts, reads and routes allow that to play up even more. He has a gun for an arm to go with it that would more than work in right, though there is zero question he’s a Gold Glove caliber center fielder long-term. Pache’s straight running speed is close to top of the scale, but he’s yet to translate it effectively in terms of stolen bases. Pache’s power is just starting to show up, at least in terms of extra-base ability, and he’s showing signs of making adjustments to his swing that could eventually allow him to approach average power in the future. ETA 2020.

Here’s a look at his swing:

In 2019, he started in Mississippi again. In 392 at-bats he had 28 doubles, eight triples, 11 home runs, and 43 RBI while hitting .278.  He was promoted to Triple-A and finished the season with Gwinnett Stripers. He hit .274 with them with eight doubles and eight RBI in just 26 games. This guy is a top prospect who should be with Atlanta next season.
