Future Watch: D’Andre Swift Pre-Draft Football Cards, Georgia – D’Andre Swift is 5-9, 216 pounds, he’s already signed an endorsement deal with Nike. The Georgia Bulldogs star is expected to be the first running back to go off the draft board.
The Philadelphia native is known for his speed and his quick cuts. Pundits can say teams don’t value running backs like they used to. I think as a whole that’s true, but when the special ones are in the draft, few will ignore them. The New York Giants drafted Saquon Barkley second overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. Where will Swift go in the 2020 NFL Draft? That’s the question that’s on a lot of fans’ minds.
Swift didn’t rack up a ton of touches in college so the narrative that he’s only got 3 or so years of prime play shouldn’t be an issue. He doesn’t have the same kind of mileage that other drafted running backs have had on their odometers.
His three years at Georgia were impactful, to say the least. In 2016, he was voted a High School All-American and he came in hot in 2017.
- 2017 – 18-618, 7.6 yards per carry. Four touchdowns, one receiving
- 2018 – 163-1,049, 6.4 yards per carry. 10 rushing touchdowns, three receiving
- 2019 – 195 – 1,216, 6.2 yards per carry, 7 rushing touchdowns, one receiving.
Here are some of his accomplishments.
- 2018 – CFP National Championship
- 2018 – Second-Team All-SEC
- 2019 – First-Team All-SEC
Swift didn’t win a championship, but he got there. He did a lot in college and he impressed everyone at the NFL Combine. He ran a 4.48 in the 40-yard dash and he had a 35.5″ vertical leap. That probably helps him in his solid receiving game. He had a season with zero drops!
Collectors can find Swift’s pre-draft rookie cards of this talented quarterback in Leaf Draft, Leaf Metal Draft and Panini Prizm Draft Picks Collegiate Football. His first cards are featured in 2017 Leaf Army All-American Football and 2017 Upper Deck USA Football.
