Future Watch: Hayden Hurst Rookie Football Cards, Ravens – Hayden Hurst was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 25th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. This 6-5, 250-pound tight end started to raise his stock when he attended South Carolina University.
In his first season in college, he played in 12 games catching just eight balls for 106 yards. He was a “true” freshman so that was the reason.
In 2016, Hurst played in all 13 games. That season he had 48 grabs for 616 yards. His best game was seven catches.
In 2017, he played in all 13 games again. He had 44 catches for 559 yards and two touchdowns. He was named All-SEC, he played in the Outback Bowl, where he had 3 catches for 41 yards in a win.
The Jacksonville, Florida native was the first tight end selected in the draft. The Ravens have Joe Flacco and Hurst could be a nice safety valve for him to start. That’s the hope.

This sure-handed receiver knows how to get yards after the catch and with some excellent speed he can gain big chunks of yards if the opposing defense doesn’t keep an eye on him.
It’s not often that there’s a tight end who could be a big deal in the hobby. This guy has the chance to do that and he has a quarterback with a big arm who can really find him a lot of open space. With the way that teams are running the West Coast offense these days. He’s tailor-made for that and that’s why the Ravens think he’ll have an immediate impact in the upcoming season.
