Future Watch: Jack Studnicka Hockey Cards, Boston BruinsJack Studnicka was drafted by the Boston Bruins with the 53rd overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft. This talented pivot has made a quick rise through the ranks. Not everybody saw it coming, aside from the Bruins and a few others.

In 2015-16, Studnicka he started his OHL career with the Oshawa Generals. In that season, he scored 26 points in 62 games. In 2016-17, during the regular season, the center scored 52 points in 64 games, including 15 goals. He added 15 points in 10 postseason games, five of which were goals. In the U-18s representing Team Canada, he had three goals in three games.

By 2017-18, he was a captain with Oshawa putting up 72 points. The following season, he put up 83 points in 60 games while being traded mid-season to the Niagara Ice Dogs. Overall, Studnicka OHL totals were 80 goals and 153 helpers in 252 games. During that season he played for Team Canada in the U-20 World Junior Championship, putting up four points in five games. Some of his teammates were Barrett Hayton (Coyotes), Nick Suzuki (Canadiens), and Alexis Lafreniere (who will be selected first overall in the 2020 NHL Draft).

Following the OHL PlayoffsStudnicka got his first taste of the pros, playing with the AHL’s Providence Bruins in their postseason. In four games with the Baby Bears, Studnicka counted a goal and an assist.

In 2019-20Studnicka got a very long look in training camp and almost made the Boston Bruins main roster. Instead, he played just two games there getting his first NHL assist. He spent most of the season in Providence where he shined, scoring 23 goals and 49 points in 60 games. Those outputs led to Studnicka being voted to the All-Rookie Team and playing in the AHL All-Star Game.
