Future Watch: Jacob Eason Football Cards, Colts – Jacob Eason was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Since the Colts have signed Philip Rivers to a one-year deal, Eason can learn from a smart veteran quarterback as he essentially carries a clipboard in the NFL to start.

It all started at Lake Stevens High School in Washington State. He threw for almost 10,000 yards and 102 touchdowns against 18 interceptions in his four years there. He ran in four touchdowns too so it’s not a surprise that he was a top recruit when he graduated in 2016.

He was recruited by a lot of schools and he decided on the University of Georgia. He wasn’t the starter right away in 2016, but by the fourth preseason game where he was 8-12, with a touchdown and no picks for the win. He was now the starter.

In his first game in 2017, he injured his knee. He missed a lot of games and by the time he returned he lost his starting job which prompted him to look elsewhere.

He transferred to his hometown, Washington State Huskies. College rules state that transfers have to wait a year to play unless there are extenuating circumstances, but this was straight forward, and he sat out the entire season. He did win the starting job in 2019. He was 27-36 for 349 yards and four touchdowns in his first start.

He went on to have a great year and a nice college career in his two years with the Bulldogs, he was 244-277, with 2,458 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. With the Huskies, the 6-6 quarterback was 26-405, good for 3,132 yards, 23 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. That December he announced he was entering the NFL draft.

Collectors can find Jacob Easons’ pre-draft rookie cards in 2020 Panini Prizm Draft Picks, 2020 Leaf Draft, and 2020 Sage HIT Premier Draft High Series to name a few. However, his first cards can be found in 2016 Leaf Army All-American Football.

Here’s how it looked on draft day:

Eason was an All-American in high school and he won the Hall Trophy as the U.S. Army Player of the Year. He has all the tools. Don’t miss out on collecting his football cards.
