Future Watch: Jahlil Okafor Basketball Rookie Cards, Philadelphia 76’ers – Last year’s ACC Player of the Year and consensus All-American, Jahlil Okafor was selected with the third overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft. The 6’11” center out of Duke is an early pre-season favorite to win Rookie of the Year honors.

Okafor, a native of Chicago, attended perennial powerhouse Whitney Young High School. He helped lead the USA National team to Gold medals in 2011, 2012 and 2013 competing in 16U, 17U and 19U tournament championships. As a result he was ranked as the number one high school recruit by Scout, Rivals and ESPN.

Last year at Duke, he put up an impressive stat line averaging 17.1 points and 8.5 rebounds per-game. His athleticism in the post and overall basketball IQ put him on the radar of several teams heading into the 2015 NBA Draft.

Despite not having any official rookie cards to date, Panini America included Jahlil Okafor in their 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention VIP attendees set as well as their exclusive VIP Party Gold Packs. These cards also include limited edition parallels and jersey patch cards.

The prices some of these cards have fetched on eBay are absolutely staggering considering none of them are autographed. This bodes well for the soon to be released 2015-16 NBA Basketball card products coming soon from Panini America.

Here is a look at his 20-point, 9 rebound performance in this year’s NBA Summer League:
