Future Watch: Jamal Murray Rookie Basketball Cards, Nuggets – A gifted scorer and all-around facilitator, Jamal Murray is equally comfortable at either guard position. Standing 6′-4″, 207 pounds, the native of Ontario, Canada was named First Team All-SEC in his one year playing at the University of Kentucky.
He was selected with the 7th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets. During his tenure for the Wildcats, Murray posted average per game numbers of 20.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 40.8% from three-point range in 36 games.
Murray is a flat-out shooter and can get on a hot streak from beyond the arc quickly. In college, he scored four or more three-pointers on 13 different occasions. That type of lethal shooting is a genuine asset in any league and the Nuggets are hoping to exploit his natural shooting ability.
Jamal Murray’s NBA Draft Profile states: “The native of Ontario, Canada can flat-out shoot, with a jumper described as “effortless” by NBADraft.net. “He’s a dead-eye shooter who will space the floor,” according to FoxSports.com, and possesses a “flamethrower jumper,” per SB Nation.”
In pre-season competition, Murray was given every opportunity to showcase his skills and show the Nuggets’ coaching staff that he is NBA ready. He averaged over 25 minutes per game, 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds. He put dished up 28 assists and 4 blocks. His shooting percentage from 3-point range was 31.3% while hitting 66.7% from the free throw line.

The NBA trading card season officially kicked-off October 12th, 2016 with the release of 2016-17 Hoops NBA Basketball from Panini America. The exclusive trading card manufacturer of the NBA, Panini America, also has a slate of collegiate products scheduled that will feature NBA rookies including Murray.
The first of these NCAA themed basketball sets debuts last week with the release of 2016-17 Contenders Draft Picks Basketball. This will be the first mainstream release to include autographs of Jamal Murray.
Murray is also featured in the 2016-17 Panini NBA Sticker Collection.
