Future Watch: Jeremy Chinn Football Cards, Carolina Panthers – Jeremy Chinn was selected by the Carolina Panthers with the 64th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. There are high expectations for second-round picks, and from the looks of it, Carolina picked a solid player.

Chinn attended Fishers High School in Fishers, Indiana and held two positions on the field –  defensive back and running back. After starring there, he was off to attend college at Southern Illinois University.

Chinn played eight games as a freshman safety. He had 51 tackles, 39 of which were solo. Chinn also had three interceptions, and five passes defended, numbers that led to him being named to the MVFC All-Newcomer team.

In 2017 Chinn played in 11 games, making 66 tackles (47 solo). He added three interceptions, nine passes defended, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. The 6-3 sophomore was a force, and he was named to the 2nd-Team All-MVFC.

In 2018, Chinn played in nine games. He made 55 tackles (51 solo) and had three interceptions, 10 passes defended, and two forced fumbles with a block. He finally made 1st-Team All-MVFC and was also named to the MVFC All-Academic 2nd-Team with a 3.58 GPA.

In 2019, as a senior, the safety played in 10 games. He had a career-high 71 tackles including 48 solos. He added one sack, four interceptions, seven passes defended, and a fumble recovery. This time he was named a Consensus-All-American as well as 1st-Team All-MVFC. He was ready for the NFL Draft.

At the NFL Combine, Chinn ran a 4.45 in the 40-yard dash. His 41.0 vertical stood out as well.

After eight games in the NFL, playing linebacker and defensive back, he has 67 tackles and an interception. He was named the Rookie Defensive Player of the Month in October. Collect this guy right now!
