Future Watch: Jeremy Lauzon Rookie Hockey Cards, Bruins – Jeremy Lauzon was drafted by the Boston Bruins with the 52nd overall pick in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. In 2013-14, he started playing for Rouyn- Noranda in the QMJHL and that’s when things started to fall into place for him.
The talented blueliner had 16 points in 55 games in that first season and four in nine playoff games. More offense would emerge down the road.
In 2014, he had 15 goals and 36 points in 60 games. That year his team didn’t make the postseason. He was on a lot of teams’ radar.
For 2015, he had 10 goals and 50 points in 46 games. He had eight in nine playoff games. He was a QMJHL Champion and was named to the Second All-Star team.
Lauzon earned team captain honors in 2016. In just 39 games, he still had five goals and 28 points. Totally healthy headed into the playoffs that’s when he shined. In 13 games the star defenseman had five goals and 23 assists. That season he played for his country in the U20s and walked away with a silver medal.
The French Canadian turned pro in 2017-18. In 52 games he had seven points. At that point in time, the Bruins were looking for him to play a different role. They needed a good skating, hard to play against physical defenseman.
In 2018-19 he got a chance to play some games with the big club. In 16 games he got one point, his first NHL goal.
