Future Watch: Jordan Love Football Cards, Packers – Jordan Love was selected by the Green Bay Packers with the 26th overall pick in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Many thought to themselves that Aaron Rodgers, is still one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and Love may be labeled his successor in due time considering Green Bay traded up into the first round to select him.
At 6-4, 224 pounds, he has the look of a successful quarterback for sure. He starred at Liberty High School located in Bakersfield, California. It took him until his senior year to become the starter. That year he passed for 2,148 yards, had 24 touchdowns, he rushes for 806 yards with eight touchdowns. When that season ended, he committed to Utah State.
In what has become the “norm” in college football, Love carried the clipboard in his first season, but that red jersey wouldn’t last for long.
In three strong years in Utah, Love threw for an impressive 61.2% pass completion percentage, 689-1,125, 60 TDS, 29 INTs, and 9 rushing TDs! He did take home two honors in 2018, he was named Second-Team All-MWC and the MVP of the New Mexico Bowl where he threw for 359 yards and four touchdowns.
Collectors can find Jordan Love’s pre-draft and rookie cards in 2020 Panini Contenders, Score, Prizm, Leaf Metal Draft, and Sage HIT to name a few.
At the NFL Combine, he ran a respectable 4.74 in the 40-yard dash, his 35.5 vertical was excellent and his 9ft, 10-inch performance on the broad jump was noteworthy.
This video shows his arm and how many teams were interested in drafting him:
The Packers want Love to learn from Rodgers. He won’t win the job in year one, instead, he will carry the clipboard once again possibly for a few more seasons. He’s used to waiting and if nothing else FOMO should ensure all collectors get in on him.
