Future Watch: Jorge Soler Baseball Rookie Cards, Chicago Cubs – As MLB teams head down the stretch, rookies can have a big impact on the pennant race. One such rookie is Jorge Soler. He’s due back from an oblique injury soon and so far his first full season has been a real success. He’s gotten into 90 games and in his 343 at-bats he has 26 extra base hits and 42 RBI. Now that’s productive.

This outfielder has a lot of power but also strikes out frequently. Now, back in the day, this wouldn’t have been that big of a deal because he’s just 23 and he hasn’t even had a full season, including what he played last year, at the big league level. However, we are in the advanced stats era and now players get dissected with strike zone reports and what pitches they’re swinging along with a whole slew Sabrmetric data. I say, just let this kid play. He has the talent and in the end talent wins out.

Soler, a native of Cuban was signed as a free agent in 2012 and he’s already paying dividends for the Cubbies who look like they have a great chance for one of the two wild card spots. The Cubs are no strangers to this space and their young talent has now played a big part in their resurgence.

Jorge Soler is featured prominently in several 2015 baseball products, including those from Topps and Panini. One of the most popular being 2015 Topps Chrome Baseball features Jorge Soler heavily in the product. Some are autographed and some aren’t but this is a great place to start if you want to collect this future star.

Collectors should be aware, that as a highly touted prospect, Soler has been featured in numerous baseball card sets since being drafted as an international free agent in 2012. His cards are included in 2012 Bowman Chrome Baseball and 2012 Leaft Metal Draft Baseball.

Soler homered in his first major league at-bat. Check it out:

A year ago he had this two homer game:

He has speed, power his fielding is pretty good and he has a plus arm. Need I say more?
