Future Watch: Josh Jackson Rookie Football Cards, Packers – Josh Jackson was drafted by the Green Bay Packers with the 45th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. A Texas native, he decided to attend the University of Iowa where he carved out his path to the NFL.
In 2014, he was redshirted. That happens at big programs. In 2015, he played in all 14 games. He was a small part of a solid defense, but his game was improving.
In 2016, he was in 12 games and he played one game at cornerback. That season he had 10 solo tackles and one for a loss. He broke up four passes making him a solid contributor.
In 2017, he started all 13 games at cornerback. He had 48 tackles, 34 solo, eight interceptions, and 18 pass breakups, plus a blocked field goal! He was a consensus All-American as well as gaining All-American honors via AP, FWAA, Sporting News, Walter Camp, and ESPN.com, USA Today and a few others.
At the NFL Combine, he ran 4.56 in the 40-yard dash. He did 18 reps on the bench press and he showed a 38” vertical leap. There was little doubt that he would be drafted, all that was left was how fast would he go in the draft?
Collectors can get rookie cards of him in 2018 Prizm Football, Unparalleled, Contenders and more.
