The California native had a 4.3 GPA and a Long-Beach Press Telegram Dream Team Player of the Year Award in high school and decided to attend UCLA to continue playing football.

This five-star recruit became the first true Freshman to start the season at quarterback in the history of the university. In his first game he helped beat Virginia 34-16 and tossed three touchdowns and 351 yards. That season he won three awards including Sporting News Freshman of the Year honors.

In 2016, he was injured in early October after tossing 400 yards in a loss to Arizona. That shoulder injury kept him sidelined for the rest of the season. The team was 3-3 that season in his six starts.

In 2017, his junior year, He won a nail biter in the opener against Texas A&M. He was 35-59 and threw for 491 yards in a comeback victory by the score of 45-44. That season he threw for 3,756 yards (a school record and career high) and he completed 62.5% of his passes with 26 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. He was voted second team, All-Pac-12.

Rosen was injured, and doctors ruled him out of the Cactus Bowl. After that he did announce his intentions to enter the 2018 NFL Draft. That probably affected his draft stock a bit.

At 6-4, 218 pounds he has the right stuff. Collectors should be all-in on him before he has a great rookie camp. He’s not lacking any confidence, that’s for sure.
