Future Watch: Joshua Jacobs Rookie Football Cards, Raiders – Josh Jacobs was selected by the Oakland Raiders with the 24th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The 220-pound running back was known as the best in his draft class. It’s not even close. At McLain high school in Oklahoma, he had 5,372 yards and 56 touchdowns in his career. No wonder Alabama knocked on his door.
At the University of Alabama, he had a massive impact. As a freshman, he split time and still had 567 yards off 85 carries with four touchdowns.
His sophomore season was weird. He had only 46 carries gaining 284 yards with one touchdown. When the season was over it was revealed that he had played on a broken ankle for a large part of the season.
His junior season was solid. He had 120 carries gaining 640 yards with 11 touchdowns. He averaged 12.4 yards per catch and had three scores through the air.
He has a lot of hardware. He won a National Championship in 2017. He was a two-time SEC Champion in 2016 and 2018. He was the MVP of the SEC Championship game in 2018 with and two touchdown performance while gaining 83 yards. After that, he was ready to make the jump to the NFL.
Here’s a look at all the different ways he can beat you:
Former Raiders and NFL great, running back Marcus Allen likes his character. He knows he can play but to say he likes him as a person is refreshing. You don’t hear that enough about the good guys in the NFL. This player could win the Rookie of the Year Award. If you don’t collect him, you will pay dearly down the road.
