He starred at Long Beach High School in California and then attended USC. He played as a true freshman. He wasn’t red shirted. That happens a lot in the bigger universities. In his first season in 2014 he had 54 receptions for 724 yards and five touchdowns. He also averaged 12 yards per kick return.

In 2015, he played in all 14 games. He had 89 receptions for 1,454 yards. He snared ten touchdowns and his kick return average improved to 12.8 yards per return. He was selected to the All-Pac-12 first team.

In 2016, he played in every game once again. He had 70 receptions good for 914 yards and ten touchdowns. After the season, he announced that he would forego his senior year to enter the 2017 NFL Draft.

Heading into the draft he was ranked the 4th best wide receiver by ESPN. The Steelers were lucky to grab him where they did and now he’s becoming an impact player.

In his first 11 games, he caught 43 catches for 699 yards and five touchdowns. He’s averaged 16.3 yards a reception this year. In a previous win against the Lions he had 7 catches for 193 yards. In a game against the Patriots he had six catches for 114 yards. With All-World receiver Antonio Brown out with a calf injury, Schuster will be expected to assume a bigger role in the offense.

Smith-Schuster has rookie cards in 2017 Panini Playoff, Rookies & Stars and Donruss Optic Football to name a few.

Here’s a look at his big catch against the Patriots.

Schuster is getting more publicity as this season rolls on. Collectors should start collecting him immediately.
